Fashion styles are versatile and individual. Some always wear the same clothes and others wear something new every time you meet them. If you have a unique item or a custom that can be defined as your identity, your style can be deeper in its meaning. In this section, we would like to talk about favourite things of those, who have been influencing us with their unique fashion styles. We believe they inspire us and show us how important it is to have an individual style that is your identity.
Who is a muse of the white shirt? My answer is, no doubt, Patti Smith. Is it a very biased view? I believe there is loads of objections to it however let me speak about my opinion first. Her first album, Horses, released in 1975 is the reason why I think so. Yes, indeed. It is the portrait on the album cover taken by Robert Mapplethorpe. At the time, Patti Smith was called a queen of the New York punk rock scene. And the album was the first official record deal that had ever been made by an artist from this scene. The style and approach of NY punk was changed by this album.
A 20-year-old woman, in trousers with a white shirt on and an uneasy look on her face. It may not have been a typical female image but it represents a genuine coolness. From this point on, she became an iconic female figure of punk in the music and fashion world.
