Culture is born from people with similar hobbies and tastes coming together with like-minded friends to gather and play. In street, location plays a crucial role. The Deus Ex Machina Harajuku store at the north end of Harajuku Cat Street is one such spot. The store operates as a location for street to play and for the cultures of bikes, art, clothing and music to converge. Regardless of nationality, age or gender, people gather at this store that also has a cafe. Here we present a fashion story set in the Harajuku store in all its charm. While the store will be closing in March, the history and mindset will continue to live on in the new store that will be opening in Asakusa from end of June. The day a new culture spot is born lies right around the corner.
